997tt performance upgrades

My dad just bought a new 997tt and was wondering if anyone else had one and what they have done to it? He was going to change the exhaust and ECU. I was telling him to do the AWE exhaust with GIAC tuning. Please let me know what you think will work best. I went to my Porsche dealer and they told me GIAC tuning is not out yet, true or false?

It all depends on how much he wants to spend. I have talked to Neil from Orton USA and they have some great stuff lined up for various models. They don't have anything listed for the 997tt, but I'm sure that they will soon. Neil is very friendly and you can get a solution that is perfectly suited to your needs. You could also look at RUF, but that is on the upper end of the spectrum.

Imagine Auto (a site sponsor) just dyno'd their 997TT at over 600hp, I'd suggest giving them a ring and letting them know you saw them here.

I would second the nomination for Imagine Auto. The owner is a long time Porsche turbo specialist. I would also recommend a shop in Northern Virginia, outside of Washington, DC called Autothority. They've had some great tuning programs for turbos for years that are quite highly thought of.

I would also add a kudo for Autothority. They started with BMWs and Porsches years ago, did the suspension work on my old Porsche 944 for autox.
