Kreissieg Exhaust for the Cayman S

hey, does anyone know where i can get a Kreissieg F1 Cayman exhaust for less than the $5500 quoted?

i mean seriously why do places charge so much for this ****? just like those mesh people that want $1300 for some mesh cut out of perforated steel same stuff with NEW bumper frames instead of a core exchange costs $500, and even places that do the same mesh for lambos and ferrari's lists at less that $1k

http://www.kreissieg-usa.com/video.p...20Off%20Action

http://www.kreissieg-usa.com/video.p...ay%20Pass%20By

the kreis-sieg exhaust is from all the exhausts i've heard so far, the most crazy sounding and looks also pretty good in terms of build quality

but for $5500 without headers and without labor i might as well get an orton or fvd supercharger or something

bet you that sounds better, and feels better too

so, anyone know where i can get this thing for less than $5k?

thanks for the time

I believe Eisenhaus is an official distributer so you might want to contact them too.

It bears repeating from another topic thread:

We've put a lot of work into documenting several exhaust systems for our members here and will continue to do so as opportunities present themselves. I will, of course, point members to systems that we've tested and documented before I point them to someone else who we know nothing about and who is not a site sponsor. Site sponsors have earned the right to be mentioned first and considered first because of their support of this site. If we had no sponsors likely we'd have no site and thus there would be no resource for information like this.

When users come in and start making great claims about some other non-sponsor system I don't know if they are getting paid to do so by some company that wants to try to get business through the back door without supporting the site, or the user just hasn't done their research yet among the systems we've already covered. Since our sponsors have offered discounts on their systems to our members it would only stand to reason that if a user was looking at some non-sponsors system that their first thought should be "hey if they become a Cayman Club sponsor maybe I can get a discount on this system".

If someone is talking to Remus or Kreissieg or anyone else feel free to give them my info (or give me their info) and/or point them to www.caymanclub.net/?page=advertise and see if they'd like to become a sponsor as well. It is a win-win, they get exposure on the site and our members get all of the details on their system as opposed to relying on someone else's brothers cousins friend who knows someone's recommendation.

Erik posted this before. This is a sound clip of the Tubi exhaust. http://pfafftuning.com/cayman_02.mp3

Btw, I've heard one at the track and it was absolutely wicked. What I'd like to know is whether the Tubi is louder or quieter than the AWE.

and if someone has actually installed this exhaust, can you tell me where you installed the "F1" mode button? e.g. run wires from exhaust into dash? how many wires? is the exhaust powered? 12V? how was fit and finish? the pics look good but i can't seem to find pictures of the thing installed

does it protrude out from under the bumper, e.g. hang low, similar to the fabspeed setup?

and also what about weight?

K-Man S, i'm not promoting this product, e.g. i'm not saying its better, i'm asking if its better, because as far as i'm concerned, all the exhausts i've seen so far are quite dissapointing, and this exhaust looks no better

and as far as i'm concerned, all this setup is is a milltek look-alike with a y-pipe behind the headers, opened and closed with a button

and they want $3500 more than the milltek for that y-joint-pipe, and i just want to know if its possible to get this setup for a comparable cost to the milltek

and then still i've yet to hear a sound clip of what the tubi actually sounds like

and no matter how you put this and what ever bashing it may fall under $5500 is too much for an exhaust

about $3500 too much

fafnir,
I didn't mean to imply that you were promoting them here or advertising for them I was simply restating what had been stated in another thread. As I also said above if you get me in touch with the maker maybe I can convince them to come on board as a sponsor and offer discounts. I don't know if I can get you a $3500 discount but I am always willing to try on behalf of our members.
