AWE Cat-Back with FABSPEED Headers install

Here’s my delayed report of the installation of my FABSPEED Headers w/200 cell Cats and AWE Cat-Back exhaust system. Installation was performed at AMS - Carson, CA on 9-Nov. I did had pre and post dyno’s performed but with uncomplimentary results. After sending the dyno data files to Matt at AWE Tuning. With the help of their engineer it was determined that the Dynojet that has used in this case had insufficient airflow to my CS’s air intake, causing a rich fuel mixture with bogus results.

- FABSPEED Headers -

- AWE Cat-Back's -

I weighed all parts at AMS using their FedEx approved digital scale. Follows are the weights of the parts showing the weight loss.

OEM Headers w/bolts: 16.65 lb.
OEM Cat-Back’s w/bolts & clamps: 36.5 lb.
*********** Weight 53.15 lb. ***********

FABSPEED Headers w/bolts: 15.45 lb.
AWE Cat-Back’s w/bolts & clamps: 30.65 lb.
************ Weight 46.1 lb. ************

************ Total Weight Savings of 7.05 lb. ************

On the installation, ALL parts mated together like bread and butter. Absolutely zero issues.

Am I happy with the system, yes very. The note is amazing. And after realizing the reason for the poor dyno’s results the butt dyno is now reading positive results.

Zornet,
Let me know if you go back over to that first dyno you were on to see if they can get the runs right and what gains your combination ends up actually making.

I have heard Zornet's set-up and it had the right blend of growl when you want it, without making the cabin uncomfortable when cruising. This set-up sounds much better than factory and the PSE for Carrera.

It is a very clean install. No hanging mufflers, just some polished metal through the rear diffusers, with a hint of polished steel in the wheel wells from the headers and the pipes into the mufflers. Factory tips sit better than with the factory exhaust.

"Dynojet that has used in this case had insufficient airflow to my CS’s air intake" - does this mean that they didn't use a fan?

Man that's shiny. I'm jealous. How is the sound between 2000 and 3000 rpm? Any resonance or overly boomy? Just curious because of the note from AWE about using their system with aftermarket headers.

I went for a ride in Zornet's CS and have been on then street for a drive by.
The exhaust looks and sounds great. It's not loud under normal driving conditions, but give it a little gas and it comes to life with a nice sound and butt dyno says there some extra ponies. I think it's the 37 coats of Zaino weighing that thing down that caused the minimal showing on the dyno. Zornet has the cleanest CS I have ever seen.
Zornet how much did you drive the after the install but before the dyno run?

Santa Fe – Yes fans were used but not a sufficient amount on the driver’s side air intake.

suneet - No resonance or overly booming @ any rpm including 2000 > 3000.

Nice choices for a hybrid. That would be my best of the best selection also- Just got the AWE, planning on the Fab headers and hope the car gets here before I run out of parts space.

Any triggering of dash warning lights -O2 sensor, ECU etc?
