URGENT!! GT3 Advice needed

I bought a pair of 'new' GT3 seats on ebay yesterday for 750GBP (say $1400). I assume that this is a good deal compared to my Pole Position 'carbon' quote of $4500.

Anyway - my problem is that the seller just turned around (after I paid by credit card) and said "sorry, I sold them yesterday, but I do have a carbon pair for 200GBP extra". Now tell me if Im wrong, didnt the GT3 seat only come in one specification? Im worried Im being ripped off. Any advice sincerely appreciated......see pics below: do you see anything suspicious? I wonder if they are copies from China or something? HeeellllPPP!!

Hey.

I was at a track day and my friend was in his brand new GT3 and I don't remember carbon fibre anywhere in the car but I could be wrong.

Chances are it is a ripoff. I would get this credited by the seller immediately. Maybe even call the credit card company and "bounce" the charge if possible.

Anytime a deal goes "weird", I am instantly out of it.

Don't know about the seat specs, but whenever a deal goes like this I'm always suspicious. I'd be saying "sorry, I want my money back" and take appropriate action with your credit card company or say "you guys owe me a set of seats you took my money on for the price agreed to." I'd also look at reporting them to ebay because I think if they have the item available for sale locally they have to say so in their add. It may not help you with your cause much, but ebay will probably at least discuss it with them or sanction them and it may help someone else down the line. Plus there's always negative feedback.

Terry -
Tannoy_gold (who you bought from on e-bay) have a serious feedback problem = 20% sour deals on Sales - do not take into account what they have bought.... If you give them the £200 extra, what is to say they will not ask for more, in true blackmailing fashion?

I suggest you demand a refund, also call in E-bay/PayPal Trust and Safety

Or if you can find out their address, (ask them where to send a cheque?) you and I (with some of my Hardware) could pay them a personal visit - I would be pleased to help.............

Cheers Karel

good luck, but it seems very doubtful that you would get the GT3 seats in any condition and instead just get strung along for more money.

Due to his "error", he should ship the seats first and then you send the additional 200.

Hope it works out though.

You need to contact your credit card company ASAP and ask them to reverse the charges ASAP. Then try to find the contact info on Ebay to report fraud (it is buried and had to find) and go through their process as well.

Thanks K-Man. Looks like the seller has re-emerged and sent further details on the seats. Should take delivery this week. They are indeed carbon GT3 seats. I will post pictues when they arrive....(lets hope they do)
