Ecu Stuck In Flash Mode

Hi

After completion of the 3.8s engine installation the car was running without any fault codes or lights on.

We tried to flash the ECU with 3.8s third party software and the ECU is now giving us a message of "FLASH MODE" if you use the PIWIS tool in the DME Vehicle Identification section.

We also tried to reprogram the ECU with the correct codes for my car but it does not accept this.

Can this ECU be fixed again or should I buy a new one?

Any assistance and help will be appreciated as my car is standing at the moment and it il take two weeks to get a new ECU from Germany.

Cheer

Herman

I'm sure you've tried this... but how about disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it after some time? Same error? - Suneet
