For those of you that have just signed on, let me introduce myself and AWE Tuning.
My name is Mike Romano and I am the Retail Sales Manager. I am also the Porsche and Bentley specialist.
AWE Tuning is a performance tuning firm dedicated to developing, manufacturing, and distributing the finest products for your European performance vehicle. We don't believe in boutique parts - our mission is to provide only performance upgrades that really perform. We R&D all of our own products with the concept of "Superior Performance" as our guide. Our tubular exhaust manufacturing facility leads the industry, and as the first and largest GIAC partner, we help to develop many GIAC chip tuning software products on our Mustang All-Wheel-Drive load dynamometer. By utilizing these resources, we are able to control and modify our performance parts to not only perform better than anything else on the market, but to provide a continuity of quality and service.
AWE Tuning has been around for over 15 years and enjoys a leading position in the VW, Audi, and Porsche performance tuning markets. We've been in the performance tuning business since 1991 and online since 1997. Not only do we manufacture many of our own products in-house, we are proud to be authorized Warehouse Distributors for and partners with elite companies such as Bilstein, Borla, GIAC, and H&R. We are a stocking distributor, with several thousand square feet of warehouse space to ensure that, when you place an order with us, the product is in stock here, ready to ship. We then follow-up with automated order confirmations and ship notifications with tracking numbers so that you can track your order yourself. And all our products are backed 100% by the manufacturer and AWE Tuning warranties.
Our 10,000 sq/ft facility in Willow Grove, PA combines our parts warehousing, offices, installation center, AWD chassis dyno test cell, and manufacturing plant. Our 16 member staff encompasses mechanical engineers, dealer trained technicians, and skilled metal craftsmen. Our products are conceived on CAD software, produced on the latest CNC controlled machines, and endure rigorous real world testing on our in house fleet of VWs, Audis, and Porsches before final release. Our commitment to the products we develop and distribute instills a level of confidence in our clients that is seldom matched in the industry.

Speaking of future mods since I already have and love your exhaust will you let me know more about the H&R coil overs? They seem to be a decent price, are they more for street or track use? How would they compare to the moton?

Thanks for your purchase.
The H&R's are valved and sprung for street use with light track use. I recommend coilovers whenever I can.
Most are afraid that they will be too stiff. On the contrary. The combo of a matched spring and shock produces a fantastic compliant ride that will not jar your brain, or your teeth.
After you do the coilovers, consider swaybars. I like to do my mods one at a time.
Install your coilovers and drive a few thousand miles. Get to know it.
Once you do that, swaybars are next. The ride will become firmer, but the reduced lean in high G corners is woth every penny.
Moton's are a different animal.
They are both compression and rebound adjustable. The valving is designed for higher springs rates.
Can they be used on the streets? Yes, but the ride will be much firmer than an H&R kit.
However, if you are getting more serious about your track days, and want the ability to adjust, the Moton kit is the way to go!
I hope this helps with your decision.

They don't offer independant compression/rebound adjustments. The middle adjustment settings are similar to an H&R coilover, but a the firmer settings are on the lower end of the Moton spectrum.
Did that make sense?
It's a tough call. The Bilstein offer some adjust ability, but not as much as the Moton.
Most owners don't need Moton. Infact, I will qualify each client beforehand. If I feel they are getting in over their head, I will not sell them a kit. I will highly suggest an H&R or Bilstein set up.
If you are not familiar with what you are doing, you can seriously upset the handling of the car. However, if you are patient, it can be very rewarding!

Mike,
As an FYI I heard from Bilstein last week that they now have 2 sets of PSS Damptronics made for the Cayman, one for them to test and one for me to test and do an article on so I should have that soon and will be doing an article on the whole process. I'm looking forward to an adjustable system that is also PASM capable too, best of both worlds IMHO!
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.
