The other day after work I found a nice (yellow) NSX parked next to YellowBirdII. Notice how we both hug the outside of our respective parking spaces. There's a no parking zone to my left. That's why I like that space. The NSX is not so fortunate on the passenger side. A Beetle is wedged in there.

That's awfully nice of the NSX driver to give you all that room, but quite painful for the VW driver who probably will have to get into his car thru the passenger side and climb over the center console.
Some idiot in a Lexus SUV did the same thing to me in the parking lot where I work - parked with his right side literally 3 inches from my driver's side mirror, in a loading zone marked 'no parking'. Apparently the lot was crowded, there was no place else to park, and the drive was probably in a hurry. I was hopping mad. I ended up calling hospital security, who wrote the guy a ticket. I left a little note of my own with some choice words - I basically said "thanks for parking like a dolt, enjoy the ticket".
As an NSX owner, I can't begin to tell you how dumb that driver is. The only real drawback to the NSX is that all aluminum frame and body panels which make it so rigid and light are also very easy to dent. It's not like a steel car where you can have a local "dent popper" pull the dent from the door of your car.
For a 1990s design, the NSX still looks very nice!
Just wonder how awkward it is going to be for the beetle driver to get to the driver's seat esp if the driver is a big lady?????
The Acura NSX is one of my all time favorite vehicles. I’m thankful Honda commissioned Pininfarina (Pininfarina | Home) to play an instrumental role in the design and development of a vehicle with such extraordinary abilities for its time.
To tell the truth, I had an extremely hard time deciding whether to get an NSX or a Cayman S. The only reason I have the CS is because I didn't want to buy a used car The NSX is just so beautiful. It still looks better than most things on the road.

A mechanic friend was working on one of those cars and I had a chance to look under the car - very well done, with many aluminum suspension parts, and a very clean layout. I recall there was some talk about a new NSX - will that happen ?

Awesome!
If I didn't get red I would have definately wanted yellow.

I think it is already out in Japan. Just some minor mods. But rumour is in 2009 a "New" NSX will be debuted.

To clarrify...
The chassis, body panels, suspension, wheels, etc. are all aluminum on the NSX. Of course there are plastic bits, rubber bits, etc too but the car is basically all aluminum.

Again... to clarify... Honda stopped worldwide production of the NSX. Nothing is "out" in Japan.
Honda has shown several show cars (including the most recent ugly behemoth) and about the only thing that is "for sure" is that the replacement will be powered by a naturally aspirated V10. However, the layout isn't even certain. It's likely going to be front engined but may be rear wheel drive and may have AWD (using Honda's excellent SH-AWD).
It's also likely that the NSX name will not be used again.
If your an NSXophile (is there such a word), it's all very disappointing. Honda created an absolutely fantastic car and then let it die a slow death. But if you get the chance to drive one (esp. a 1997+ car with the 3.2L motor and the 6 speed) do try it out. As someone who loves the Cayman S and his NSX, I think you'll be amazed at how closely these two cars compare. I've often said that the Cayman S is as close to a "modern" NSX as anything produced. Lightweight, rigid chassis, 6 banger motor, mid-engined balance, and stunning looks.
