It may not seem like much of a victory, but the Jeep SRT V8 has in excess of 400hp. There has been much speculation on this website as to which of the two cars might win in a stop light Grand Prix. I guess this answers the question when both are stock. No doubt that racing on the street is dumb, however.

Any SRT product is a vehicle to watch out for. Even the neon SRT-4's with about $3500 you can put down over 400hp to the wheels, easy. But regardless they are Dodge/chrysler products, so....

I have a modded CS (track car) and a Grand Cherokee SRT8 (daily driver), and as much as it pains me to admit it, the SRT8 (mine at least) is marginally faster 0-60 (100kms/hr) than the CS IF you shift the SRT8 manually rather than leaving it in D. I've tested the theory a number of times and the SRT8 wins every time by about half a truck length. Partly a function of (4 wheel) grip off the line and massive torque. Beyond 60 (or 100kms/hr) though, the aerodynamics of the CS wins out big time. Fantastic brakes on the SRT8 as well, but scary in the twisties, especially if the road is anything other than smooth. I think the CS is also a better winter/snow vehicle ......

If those srt8s didnt get about 10mpg, i'd consider one, lol. nice trucks, but I dont think its really a comparison to the cs. Just own both like boinkus44

10mpg is a stretch in city driving even with a soft foot - which is hard to do with the SRT8.
