On a similar note, the other night I was parked in a lot that requires a permit (either purchased daily, or a permanent permit). The machines only take $1 and coins. I had neither, so I parked without a permit... have done so once or twice before without issue (but not in my car).

I returned to my car and saw someone standing beside it, they were wearing a uniform so I wasn't "worried" about who the person was/what they were doing, and stopped just outside the garage to make a phone call. He was still standing there as I entered the garage.

I ignored the guy who was standing next to my car and opened the trunk, put stuff inside, was getting ready to get in the car to leave and he asked me, "is this your car?"

No-- it's *not* my car-- that's why I have the keys and am preparing to drive away in it... seriously?

I told him yes, then it dawned on me-- oh he's a security guard and I don't have a parking permit. Oops!

I apologized and explained that I did not have the cash for the machines, but normally I do purchase a permit, this was the exception.

He said it was "ok" but that he was about to write me a ticket. I thanked him for not writing me a ticket, and went on my way.

The weird part is, he was standing there for quite some time-- more than enough time to have written me a ticket. Why didn't he write the ticket? (not that I'm complaining, mind you!)

So, no phone numbers for me. I just get ticket threats!

I guess that'll teach me about not having correct change.

maybe he's gay, and didn't want to write his phone number because he figured that it'd just end up in a glovebox or recycling bin.

Guys, I been driving one Porsche model or another for many years now. So do my kids, and they pay for their tickets.

The point of the commercial is quite true:

You may not get laid, but you will get noticed ! ( and citations if you're not real careful ).

I agree very cheesy

Having Just turned double nickels, I felt it was targeted towards the younger market.

Porsche commercials in general appear to target an older demographic. I'm sure that this is exactly who their customers are. I just thought that the 2.7 might have a slightly younger base (due to lower price) and that the commercials would reflect that.
