Caymans in Italy w/ a Ferrari type modification (RK coupe)
In a recent trip to Italy I visited the Torino Porsche Dealer, and the owner of Studio Torino. I have posted at the bottom a URL to photos of different Caymans. including several photos of what I call a Ferrari-Cayman modification. I actually thought of doing this, but in the rear hatch having a rear window viewing into the engine compartment. Those photos were taken at the owners house in Torino. I told him of my window thoughts and what Tess is doing, so It might actually happen?
ONe of these cars has the Oz 15 spoke magnesium racing wheel I realy like.
Here is another look at that wheel.
These are not available to the US, but I was able to track down a vendor in France who could get these in 18' for the CS. Since I don't track my car I haven bothered to try to get these.

Wow, the red and yellow ones are gorgeous. The darker red one with "RK Coupe" markings has some very unusual mods to the rear window, both bumpers, side intakes and exhaust. Thanks for sharing.

I am just about to order some track wheel in 18' for my CS and I have been trying to find this exact wheel. If you can post to PM the details of the supplier in France I would be really greatful.
your right, it is a great wheel. I know Tire Rack sells O.Z, aren't they able to get this model?

No. I sent an email to the Oz people here in the US, and I got an email back saying that that wheel was supplied to the european market. They did say they were working with Tire Rack to get some OZ racing wheels in to the US, but AFAIK, it has not happened.
I have edited this, and before I submit who and where I was in contact with, I need to check with them first. Stay tuned.

I was in touch with this outfit: www dot bpsrallye dot com
This is the email address of the person : romain@bpsrallye dot com HIs name is Romain Beylouni
The fronts were 8" X 18" , rears 9" X 18" , Weights 8.5 Kg front, 9.37 Kg rear
I am not sure what they cost now. They were in the neighborhood of 2500 Euros (shipping was included in that price). I had seen them on the EBAY site in Europe (France I guess) I had googled for OZ Magnesium Wheels (or something to that effect) and found them, so I contacted him thru the BPS site.
Try the email route. I may have kept a phone number somewhere. Good Luck. I would love to see someone from the Cayman Club racing in these wheels.

I bought 4 Rays TE37 for my cayman... why you want to buy magnesium OZ for yours? magnesium rims needs to be trashed after a defined number of years and are really expensive...

Is 2500 Euros so expensive? (about $3750) The RAC Monolites that are a group buy are $3000+. Why do the OZ magnesium need to be trashed after a certain time? I would expect that they would last for so many races or after so many miles instead. Please explain.

My rays aren't so expensive... and won't weight so much more than magnesium oz. Not only the magnesium OZ need to be trashed, but all magnesium rims, because magnesium will loose its properties and will be dangerous to go on it. Another problem is about the superficial paint: if you remove the paint (because you scratch it or something) the magnesium gets absolutely fragile, so fragile that you can remove it with your nail.
I don't sell rims I only want to advise you before you buy it.

Oh, and I forgot, don't take italian cups as an example. They use oz rims or pirelli tyres or magigas gas only because they are sponsors
