Thanks for all the great photos. The Porsche site has awful colour representation and without your photos I wouldn't be able to pick a colour for my Cayman due in September.
I'd ordered GT Silver as somehow I let the salesman talk me into it, but now I'm leaning towards Meteor Grey.
If I do settle on Meteor Grey do you think I should go for the black or Stone Grey interior?
GT Silver is HOT! And I absolutely agree with mex, get the cocoa interior, it looks better than I thought it would, but when I saw it in person, WOW!
If you go with Meteor Grey, I'd say go with the stone grey interior. I dont think I have ever seen that combo. I'm going to have to go to the Porsche website and build that to see what it would look like.

Don't hold your breath - the colours don't look right on the site.
I think I'm definitely going to go for the black interior, with some bits in aluminium or body colour to brighten it up a bit.
As to body colour I'm still undecided. GT Silver is sexy, but I'm struggling to justify paying an extra £1000 for it. Meteor grey looks very similar to the colour I wanted for for the Boxster S I used to have (went for Lapis blue in the end).
When I go to the dealer I'll see if they've got one I can look at in the flesh to make my mind up once and for all. Current planned spec is:
Heated Seats
centre console in body colour
climate control
Bi-Xenon lights
ParkAssist
GT Silver
19" Turbo Wheels
Manual
PASM
Sports Chronos
SS Tailpipe
BOSE
Sports Steering Wheel (Might remove this - thoughts?)
I would choose black for Meteor Grey or GT Silver. I have seen several Meteor Grey cars. I saw a GT Silver 911 Turbo in a showroom. It was very nice (all are nice in a showroom, but I would never pay the additional amount for a special metallic color. There are too many others to choose from. The same special metallic color may be standard one year and not another year.
My favorite colors for 2007 are Atlas Grey, Meteor Gray, and Midnight Blue, with Atlas Grey winning out. GT Silver would have been fighting for top spot, but as said, I would never pay so much extra for a color.
I think I'm definitely going to go for the black interior, with some bits in aluminium or body colour to brighten it up a bit.

Thanks for all the help guys
You may want to consider the Auto Dimming Mirror / Rain Sensing Wiper option at 353.00 GBP. They may have become a crtutch of sorts. But, I sure miss the auto dimming mirrors whenever I have to rent a car that does not have them.
The 142.00 GBP Sports Steering Wheel seems like a relative bargain as Porsche options go. If you like the look, the slightly smaller size and the thicker contour at the tumb rests I wouldn't hesitate from adding this option. I did.

To be honest I tend to use my wing mirrors more so I can live without the auto dimming.
I'm going to go for the wheel for the size, although I want to see one in the flesh before I make my mind up
I agreed my final spec for my Cayman S hopefully coming in September. Went a bit over budget, but it's going to be a gorgeous car, and I decided if I'm going to spend approx £50K on a car, what's the point of cutting corners?
Luckily there is a big dealership near me so I got to see lots of colour combinations in the forecourt. There was a Basalt Black Metallic Cayman S with the turbo wheels that I fell in love with, so I finally put to bed all my doubts about colours.
Final spec:
Basalt Black
Black Leather
Turbo Wheels
ParkAssist
PASM
Stainless Steel Tailpipe
Manual - No Cats killed
Heated Seats
Sports Seats
Automatic Climate Control
BOSE speakers
Rear section of centre console in aluminium
Sports wheel
Sports Chrono
Bi-Xenon
Tracker (can't get insurance in UK without one)
I'm also getting a Dension ice Link Gateway 500 installed for my iPod - can't wait to get this pumping directly through the speakers!
Very, very happy and can't wait for September to roll around.
test drove artic silver /terracota full leather- loved it. almost bought meteor grey/sand full leather-car was sold. saw meteor silver/balck on the lot-beautiful. Also saw GT silver/black- not worth extra $$$. go with the meteor silver/black- beautiful. nice option list.
Congrats on the order Everton. I've got Meteor with the gray interior. Funny you ended up ordering Basalt Black because for a while I was thinking of Basalt Black too. After Porsche discontinued Seal Gray, I was a little concerned about the Meteor Gray until I saw it and Basalt was another favorite Porsche color.
