Getting real invoice prices on Cayman and 911s?

Is Edmunds the only reliable place to get true wholesale invoice prices? Where else. The dealers do not want to even hear that word.

Its funny because all the dealer I talk to say "their" invoice is about $3k above what Edmunds or KBB has. So when they told me "invoice plus $1000" they really meant invoice plus $4k. DOH!

One gues is that the owner tells the salesman a figure that owner makes up.

They're lying. All anecdotal evidence around here is that Edmunds is right on the money. 2006's had trunk money around this time of the year, haven't heard if 2007's do yet.
