Do I buy now?

Anyone got a definate view on when the CS09 will be delivered? I'm thinking of buying a current model right now. Worth it, or should I wait?

You will get your best deal on one on the lot. Especially if it has been there for a while. It's like computers and software you can just waste away waiting for the latest version.

But I sure would not by one off the lot now if it isn't exacly what you want

I'm in the same boat. Buy now or wait for 09. I talked to the manager at Walter's Porsche in Riverside today and he said that the 2009s may show up on the lot around late August or September. He said they're probably not getting any more new Caymans until then and you definitely can't do a custom order on an 08 anymore. Also, he is telling me, for the best deal, get an 08, otherwise your going to pay much higher monthly payment for an 09 of the same price. It's a hard decision.
They have an Arctic Silver CS with Carrera Red interior on the lot, and I absolutely love it. But the prospect of a custom 09 is still holding me back a bit.

Arctic Silver with Carrera Red sounds hot! What options/MSRP does it have, and did Walter give an indication on how low they can go on the price?

If you buy now at Walters....

Ask if Pete LaBonne is still there. I remember thinking he was a great guy from his days down in San Diego at Pioneer Porsche.

It is actually Very, very hot! I am still trying to sell my car though, Trade-in is my last resort.
You can check out the options on the CS I am talking about on Walter's site;

One of the coolest things about the car that I haven't seen is the seats have Alcantara inserts and the carpeting is black so it really looks nice in contrast to all the red leather.
They have it listed for 74 and some change, I am working on a deal right now with the manager to get the car for 68. Should I try and negotiate lower??? I am also trying to get him to swap the rims for 19" Turbos.

68 shouldn't be too hard. I would start lower.

Yea, I talked with someone else and he was telling me I could probably get 65.
But, 68 is okay with me if he swaps the rims for 19" turbos. Then I'll be a happy camper.

+1...see if they'll either throw in or give a good deal on the all red taillights to tie into the red interior

Walter's Porsche

Seeking a base CS with limited or no options. Just noticed that Walter's have 3 black CS without any options. I prefer the metero grey or arctic silver over black. Will inquired if the cars are still available. Maybe they are willing to deal. Going to call tomorrow and ask for Pete Labonne as suggested in the above post.

If you wait for the 09 thats great, but think of all the beautiful summer days this year you can enjoy your new CS.
