Looking to trade in my 08 Corvette 3LT loaded with Nav, NPP, HUD, F55. Would like a Cayman S, Navy with cashmere/tan interior with minimal options that retails for 59-61K. If a forum dealer is able to provide this car in manual transmission for 12% off MSRP, I am interested in making a deal.

PM me.
I am in the same boat as you...but a few more options...
12% seems to be so hard to get at least in Dallas.
Looks like there's an emerging business opportunity for the site to facilitate reverse auctions or, at least, "buy it now" offers from sponsoring dealers.

I'm no dealer but in north east a dealer in Boston seems to have some of the best prices.
Go to their inventory Link Below
I think they have what you want
Price out the car bfr calling and then see where that takes you.
From LI to Bos should be max a 5-6 hr Drive the Vett up Bring back a CS
Good Luck
I thank you sir. I love my Vette but want something a little classier that is more about the ride than just horse power. I test drove one yesterday but the Long Island dealership was only looking to take off about 5% and wanted to give me about 12K less than what my loaded 08 Corvette is worth.
Jeff
You may seriously try to sell the Vette yourself
Even if you sell it at bit of a discount you’ll still do way better than the dealer.
Don’t forget some dealers are so hard to deal with and some of them just want the make the deal.
One of the Porsche dealers in North NJ didn’t even bother to call me back, and some others in the tri state still call me back although I’ve already purchased the car.
Make sure you price each spect out bfr negotiating.
This is not a rule but in general I came up with dealer cost as about 16-17% less the msrp, so your room to play is about 4-5 percent here.
I have the dealer cost prices for each option if you like I can send it over, again each option is about 16.5% less than the mspr.
4hauck,
I have wondered where I will purchase my next Cayman. Have been inclined to stay local and develop relationship with local dealer. However, somewhat conflicted. Think the forum sponsors should be rewarded for their sponsorship and have been pleased with all items purchased from forum sponsors. Developing a relationship may get you somewhere if the likelihood of moving/changing jobs/company relocations, etc is small. But nowadays people have multiple careers and moving frequently is commonplace. If I can get the same car at a better price from a forum sponsor, I think that might be a better relationship (for me and for CC). I know many folks who purchased their Caymans over the phone/on the internet/out of state. Find it puzzling that the "local" dealers allow that business to slip away. But suspect a lot has to do with dealer allocations etc that has been commented on elsewhere. So, good luck in your quest for a new Cayman.
