Whats the deal with Herb Chambers?

Hey all-

Been enjoying lurking here and trying to learn about the Cayman. Just moved to the northeast from New Orleans. Was close to picking up a left over 2007 CS in NOLA, they are now asking 59,900 for a car with sticker close to 71K. But I also see that Herb Chambers offers some great deals on 2008's. Is it reasonable to expect 10-12% off MRSP on a 2008 CS? Anyone in particular that I should work with there?

Thanks for the help. Looking forward to joining your ranks!

Jim

I don't know anyone at Chambers, but I do know someone at Moffitt, have you been there?

Shouldn't be a problem getting 10-12 % off for an 08 CS. I just bought one in Houston for 13.32% off MSRP.

Jim:

I just purchased a 08 Cayman from dealer stock with heated front seats, colored crests, floor mats and the sound package plus for $46,656. The MSRP was $51,750 including the destination charge of $860.00. The vehicle was purchased at Herb Chambers in Boston, MA. My contact was the Sales Manager, Michael Fernandes.

Just purchased from Herb in Boston!!!

I too just finalized a deal at Herb Porsche of Boston and dealth with Mike Fernandez. 12% of MSRP on an 08 Cayman S, and handled my trade in via the computer and faxed documents since I live on Long Island. I plan to pick up my Cayman S next week so I will get back to all regarding my overall buying experience. Thus far in the process, I would definately recommend the dealership especially in lieu of some local dealerships on Long Island not being as aggressive on pricing and not willing to give me as much on my 08 Corvette trade in.

It appears the deals are getting better than when I bought my CS. How are the dealers treating CS trades for the new models, 08 or 09? I doubt they are dealing on both ends.

Herb Chambers Best of Boston!

Herb Chambers has the best sales and service in New England!
Didn't know he reached as far as Long Island for Cayman shoppers!!!
Make a day of it and make sure you catch a game at Fenway!

Herb Chambers also sponsors the Red Sox radio broadcasts!

Good Luck at Herb Chambers Porsche - they go the extra mile for their customers!

Great buying experience with Herb Chambers. Everything was done via emails, picked up the car, in and out, unfortunately didn't have time to catch the Yankees beat the Red Sox again at Fenway. No disrespect to any Cayman Sox fans.

Please see my bad experience with Herb Chambers in ordering my Cayman S. Their price is competitive but they are dishonest and have an incompetent service department.

Finally ordered a Cayman S after the first dealer reneged on the deal
