A dealer has a new '07 CS available, with about 60 miles on it, and warranty punched January 2008. List price is $66,220 (including $860 shipping and handling), with Preferred Pkg, floor mats, Bose, heated seats, self dim mirrors and rain sensors, auto climate control, 6 CD changer, wheel cap crests, and the $3,000 Lapis Blue Metallic option. I know some of these are part of the Preferred Pkg. No Xenons. Grey interior. What do you think would be a good price for this car?
1. Have you seen it?
2. Have you driven it?
3. Has it been used as a demonstrator (miles on new cars are normally about 10+ but less than 60)?
4. Has it ever been wrecked?
5. What do the over-rev engine reports say?
6. Are you comfortable with "losing" 7 months of warranty?
7. Tip or standard?
8. What are the prices for similar cars from other dealers?
You can see in the other thread that I'm willing to pay a tag under $50K for a 06, but only because a Terracotta interior is so hard to find. I'm not sure if Lapis Blue is in high demand; if not the dealer will be a lot more willing to deal. I think low $50s is doable, but if Lapis Blue is your thing don't let a couple of grand to keep you from getting it.
I have seen it, not driven it, is claimed not to be a demo (bought from another dealer), not wrecked to my knowledge, have not checked over-rev (definitely will do that). I can live with 7 months lost warranty, if price is right. It is a 6 speed. I can't find any other 2007s like this, so don't know what other dealers are doing.
The dealer price is now $53,999, or $12,221 off from the MSRP of $66,220. That is an 18.46% discount. I wish it had Xenons and a lighter color paint (just from a point of view of how easily nicks will show up). I struggle with buying a car which is not exactly what I want, but could be a good deal, vs buying a car exactly as I want, that would may be less of a (relative) bargain.

I can relate to that; PASM and Carrera S wheels would have made the one I'm negotiating perfect. The two I miss however are much easier to deal with aftermarket than Xenon and paint color obviously.
PASM - Porsche Active Suspension Management
This active damping system offers continuous adjustment of individual damping forces based on current road conditions and driving style.
The driver can choose from two setup modes, ‘Normal’ and ‘Sport’, using a separate ‘damper’ button on the center console. ‘Normal’ mode is designed for general road driving and circuits with uneven tarmac. ‘Sport’ mode is intended for smoother track surfaces, where the harder settings help eliminate pitch and roll.
In either mode, PASM continuously evaluates the current conditions while automatically selecting the corresponding damper rates from the respective set of mapped values.
A range of sensors are used to monitor the movement of the body under acceleration, braking and cornering maneuvers, as well as on poor road surfaces. The PASM control unit then evaluates this data and modifies the damping force on each individual wheel in accordance with the selected mode. The result is a significant reduction in body movement as well as a better grip on the road.
For example: if ‘Sport’ mode is selected, the suspension is automatically set to a harder damper rating. If the quality of the track surface falls below a certain threshold, the system immediately changes to a softer rating within the ‘Sport’ setup range. When the quality of the tarmac improves once more, PASM automatically returns to the original, harder rating.

Where in California is this car? I've been lurking around from a punched warranty car, but don't remember seeing this one.
