Interest Rate

Anyone know the current interest rate on a new Cayman for 60 months financing? What is the best rate if I have a credit score of 785?

From my experience I'd say a rate in the low 5% range would be good. But shop around and see which place offers the best overall options for you. Then go to Porsche with that rate and see if they'll match or better it.

Credit Unions have good rates. The Lockheed Federal Credit Union will finance up to 110% of vehicle cost at 4.99%. Don't know if they are in your area.

I just asked the dealer to do 4.9% and they said it is ok without any hesitation.
So you can give that a try. Can Probably go a tad lower if you really want it to be lower.
This of course will be Porsche financing. My credit score is about the same as yours.

Thanks for all your advices. 4.5% at Pentagon Federal Credit looks the best so far.

6% from a dealer in Boston

I traded in my 08 Corvette and thought about financing the difference. I did pay cash for the difference, but the dealer quoted me 6% if I did want to finance the balance, and I have good credit. It seems like 4.99-5.0 is probably where you would be with good credit.

Porsche financing recently quoted me 5.0% on a new '08 CS....60 months term with $10K down. That was an initial figure without any further negotiation. I don't think that's too bad considering HELOCs are running about 4.75% now and could rachet higher quickly if the Fed raises rates to combat inflation. Also, some lenders are freezing HELOCs.

So far the dealer has counter-offered a final price of 12.8% (approx. their invoice cost according to the documents I saw) off the sticker vs. my initial offer of a 14.4% discount. I think the car has been sitting on the lot for quite a while so they may split the difference and accept a 13.6% discount or $500 below invoice. The car has Sport Chrono and a dealer installed lojack plus they are going to add the mats and colored crest wheel hubs. So it is very lightly optioned.

I got 60 months at 4.29% from my credit union (ESL) last week! The rates posted on their web site were MUCH higher. The dealer got me this rate.
