very happy with long distance purchase

i helped my mom with the purchase of a 2007 cayman from Hendrick Porsche/charlotte. saw the car in the classified section here posted by steve mann (member). she is in atlanta, the deal was done over the phone and email. when she took delivery last weekend the car was as described if not better and the price was as discussed. just wanted to give props to steve for a great transaction.

I personally had an awesome experience with Jim Ellis in Atlanta. I tried Hendrick (I'm local to Charlotte) and while they were really nice, their numbers were off. Jim Ellis' sales team was awesome and made the 4 hour (each way) trip well worth it -- especially coming home in a brand new Porsche...

I'm currently dealing with Jim Ellis in Atlanta too, and so far they have been great to deal with (Ryan is super patient with me). I'm picking my car up on Monday - it's a long trip from Royal Oak, MI but looks that it's gonna be worth it.
I'll post an update on Tuesday when I come back - it's gonna be a looong weekend

Ryan was awesome... Yes, it will be long, but it will also be worth it. Besides, you'll get a chance to put some break-in miles on the car (the 1st 2,000 miles sure were hard!!!)

This is a follow up to my previous post.
It was a long drive home, but indeed I had a chance to put some break-in miles on the car (although it made a drive a little harder as I tried to vary the engine speed all the time (between 2500-4500RPM). People on the road probably thought I was drunk
I was tired of doing this at one point and wished I could just put it on the cruise control.

Anyway, Ryan was awesome. I took different car then I originally wanted to, so Ryan had to write up a new agreement. He let me try couple cars as I wanted to check the Chrono equiped car among others. Very patient man

Jim Ellis is a great Porsche dealer with many cars to choose from (much bigger then my 3 local Porsche dealerships) and I'm super happy with the outcome.

I highly recommend checking them out and calling Ryan if you're in a market for a new Porsche
