Looking at this pre-owned 2007

Don't really know where to start!!! The car fax shows 3 oil changes in 12,885 miles is this normal?

I want the PASM, optioned nicely, like the beige interior, would prefer blue but red is OK.

Cost is what it is, more concerned about a good car than money. Asking $45,600. It is a CPO...

More oil changes is better in my opinion. Can't hurt. I changed my oil at 750 miles to get rid of any break in particles.

There is a FAQ on buying used Caymans that you might want to read to get some ideas where to start. The Cayman Club - FAQ: Questions & Answers

Dealer on Long Island 2 months ago was offering a brand new 07 without PASM for $49. If it was me and money was not the deciding factor, I would go new only because with all the changes with the 09's, there are some good deals on 07's and 08's to be had.

Good luck with your search.

Jeff

Auction prices are for 2007 cayman between 34k and 37500 depending on the condition and milage. Dealer probably paid ~35k for this car.
hope this helps.

Normin...It does look nice but it is 3,200 miles from me, and Black.
Color is important to me.

There are several pages within 200 miles fo me on autotrader-79 cars to be exact from just that one source.

I guess this is not going to be as easy as I thought. I will keep studying, keep the ideas coming.

Thanks all.

I'm pretty sure you get 6 speed transmission bundled with PASM on a Cayman. Since this car doesn't have 6 speed, I'm doubting it has PASM, the dealer is probably mixing it up with PSM.

From the pics looks like it's got the PASM button. So it is probably a 6 sp.

I'm not sure about 2007 models, but the 2008 Cayman (2.7) is available with PASM without a 6 speed -- check the Car Configurator on the Porsche website. Looking at the pictures in that link, the car is definitely a 5-speed (see picture #7), and looks like it has the proper buttons below the HVAC controls for PASM and (obvious from the "clock" on top of the dashboard) Sport Chrono.

Phil 1, the price does seem a little high
