I'm looking at a CPO'd '06 that is in a color I like and has the options I want. The drawback is that it has 30K miles. Car appears to be in very good condition. I expect I will DD this car for a couple of years and I drive a lot. That could leave the car with say 75K miles when it comes time to sell. There will still be 25K left of the CPO warranty at that point, but to be honest, I haven't seen that many Porsches with that many miles being sold. I expect there will be a resale hit but at that point, I wouldn't expect more than a few K. So, is there anything I haven't thought of and would you do it?

Opinions are greatly appreciated.
If the deal works for you then buy the car. However, do some comparisons first, this may help:
I'd say that if the price and car are right for you, then go for it. 30K miles isn't that much, and with the CPO you are pretty much protected for the next few years.
Remember the Cayman has only been around 2 1/2 years, so you will start to see more high mileage used cars in the future (I wouldn't be surprised if a higher percentage of Caymans are used as DDs than the 911 models).
Plus, no break-in period!

I have a car with 28k on it and its better now than when I bought it. Once it hasn't been abused(but certainly well used), you should be able to get a good deal on it.
I have 35K miles on my 2006 CS. I drive it 3 to 4 days a week and track it 5-7 times a year. The car looks new, runs great and I have had no problems with it. Like it more now than the day I drove it off the lot with 8 miles!
Thanks so much guys. I just got back from the dealership and unfortunately, it sold an hour ago. DOH! The comments really help though and now I will open up my search a bit wider and not shy away from higher mileage cars.
ChrisF in your search for a Cayman arm yourself with this from the FAQ's; The Cayman Club - FAQ: Questions & Answers you will be better off if you follow those guidelines.
Too bad it was sold. I agree that 30k miles is not alot and the car is just broken in, although I think that when you go sell with 75k miles on it, it may not be as desireable. Not from a mechanical point of view, but from a psychological point of view. A potential buyer may look at a car with high miles as a "used" car but may think of a car with low miles as "almost new".
I have no facts to back this up, its just my opinion.
