Ok I finally found the details for April, and I see why they were so hard to find, for most Porsche models April was a big decline.

Cayman sales were up from the prior month, but down from last year.
Overall Boxster and Cayman sales were down about 60 units from last year
Overall 911s were DOWN OVER 300 UNITS from last year.
Cayenne is the bright spot up 200 units, of course against a weak year last year as the Cayenne rolled in a new model. Overall Porsche down around 150 units from the year before.

Porsche's CEO says he will be lowering inventories in the U.S., I suspect that means allotments originally planned for the US are going other places like China, Russia, etc.

Now may be a really good time to find a good deal on a Cayman on a lot that a dealer wants to move!

Interesting May numbers. Except for the Cayennes, the Cayman S is the largest selling model. So, as for sports cars, this should tell Porsche something?

For July 08 Canada

ATLANTA, Aug 01, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Porsche Cars Canada, importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in Canada, today announced July sales of 146 units sold in Canada, representing a 21% decrease from July 2007 when sales were 184.
Delivering strong sales was Porsche's mid-engine Boxster. The company's sporty roadster drew sales of 41 compared to 14 Boxsters sold in July 2007. Year-to-date Boxter sales were up 6% over the same period last year.
July 31 marked the end of Porsche's fiscal year 07/08. Porsche Cars Canada closed the fiscal year with total sales of 1,874.
Dealers sold 57 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned cars in July 2008 versus 41 for July 2007.
