lost my memory... help please?

after disconnecting the battery I lost the memory for the key and I cannot unlock the doors by using the key button

I looked on the search archives but only found the steps for programming the seats but not for the key itself, same info on the owners manual...

Are you saying you took the battery out of the key or disconnected the car's battery? Either way it should not lose its ability to unlock the car as that is retained in long term memory unless that got wiped, if it did, then I think the only way to fix it is to have the dealer reprogram the key. Simply disconnecting the battery for a bit or taking the battery out of the key (for example to replace with a new one) should not have done that.

Removed the car battery, the radio kept the settings but the key does not work. I really dislake going to the dealer is not too close and a lot of traffic involved.

When I first took delivery, the salesman pushed a code on the door memory buttons, cannot remember the sequence and the manual does not make any reference (or cannot find where iti is)...

Wink Door Lock

Try to lock ,un-lock, and lock back again at the driver door with the key. Then press the key remote. it should open.

Your car may whent into battery save mode.

My car is not a daily driver; if i dont open it for 7 days it goes to battery save mode. That is how your alarm save the battery from draining.

good luck

That was my guess as well. See the remote key here: Didn't read the manual? Read this.

Please let us know if that (or something else) was the problem.
