I had problems resetting mine too, but Duram (of Durametric) worked on it until he solved the problem.
You need to make sure that you download the latest version (5.0.7) from Durametric.com. If you are using a laptop, make sure that it is on AC power. Go to Instrument Cluster, and then on the Diagnostics tab go to Reset Service Reminder

I was running 5.0.4 so I am downloading the newest version. What does plugging the laptop in have to do with anything? That is sort of the reason I have a laptop in the garage...so I dont have to carry the cords around and such.

According to Duram, the reset signal has to be sent over a very small time interval, and he thinks that because some Laptop processors slow down when they are on battery, that may occasionally be responsible for failures.
(You will note that on newer versions you get a warning pop-up if you are running on battery - I find it still runs fine for clearing codes)
