Where is the build date?

I just bought a Cayman S off of the dealer's lot. How do I find out when it was built?

Thanks,
-Larry

You can ask your dealer they should know or order a Certificate of Authenticity from PCNA. The build date is on that as well.

You should find the sticker with the manufacture date on the driver's door. You almost have to be looking upwards from the ground to see it.

ah, I was not looking on the door itself. 03/08
So it was only on the dealers lot less than 2 months
I need to wait a few weeks before waxing...

You can wax now. Your paint is fully cured and the longer you wait the better your chance of damage. (there are several threads on the subject in the Cayman Care forum if you care to look).
