Tingly clutch feel when changing gears at hgh rpms norma?

Its my first manual car since 1988.

Everyng works fine.

One question when changing gears at high rpms 5k to 7k is it normal to feel the clutch pedal a bit tingly or a feeling of the rpms in the pedal when depressing the clutch? (kind of hard to explain)

The simple answer is to drive your Cayman and another Cayman back to back and see if they are the same or different. People here aren't going to be able to feel what you feel through your clutch pedal and after reading what you just wrote, I haven't a clue if my clutch is the same as you described or not. While a forum is great for a great many things, it isn't a substitute for hands-on testing, which is what I would suggest in this case.

Michelin tires

Hi all, i experienced my first negative with my CS. Got a flat today and it seems that for now Michelin has the 19" tires on indefinate backorder. My dealer can't find any. This does not work real well when it is your only car. UUUGGGHHHHH.
My service manager recommended upgrading the rears to 20's, my salesman said how about buying a new car (Hope he was joking).
Any suggestions???

Problem is I dont know anyone with another Cayman in Costa Rica.

So lets say you change from second to third at 4000 rpms, in my case the feel of the clutch pedal is smooth when depressing it.

Now when I change at 6500 or 7000 rpms, it feels a bit different, pressure feel is the same but feel tingly or with a small vibration.Or like having sand
Just different.

Juliusc911 I ordered 19" Michelin PS2 N1 from Costco about three weeks back and they had them. Be carefull they are N0 or N1 ask them to show you the Michelin book, the guys working there do not know much about N series Michelin. I ordered N0 and got N1 so do not worry much about which N series they order as long as it is N series.

Good luck.

Yes it is normal on my 2.7 Cayman. It kind of feels like tingling marbles under your feet. As K-Man S said I did drive another (actually a couple ) and they all had it. Mine is at a little lower rpms. I do not think it is anything to worry about. Enjoy the ride. You can see my previous post on it by using the "similar thread" below.
