I too had my dealer repair the "trunk clunk". After the fix the thunk became less pronounced, occurred much less often and the associated pressure change I would feel is all but gone.

If you review the actual fix as documented here on the Cayman Club it is clear why the problem may persist, but should do so to a much lesser degree.

Mine is GONEThe bleeping trunk clunk is GONE!!!!!!!

The first dealer fix involved adjustment of bumpers and insulation of 3rd brakelight area????. What a ^^%&ing joke!!!!. Worse than ever.

Her's the deal- Insist on the factory dealer fix buletin involving the balance weight inside the hatch outlined in the club thread. Print the bulletin and bring it with you. Also have them closely check both shock dampers for wear. Both of mine were shot.Lots of dealers do not want to do the balance weight fix for some odd reason. Mine had to order the parts. My 3rd brakelight was alos defective- insulation hanging down and loose-don't know if this had anything to do with the clunk problem or not.

It is soooo nice not tohave to listen to that damn noise any more everytime I run over a manhole cover, a seam in the road, or a speed bump

The dealer did mine and it is a whole lot better. Still hear it once in a while, but unless you take out the counter weights, (Not recommended) there is still some noise on big bumps.
