Well it’s taken me a couple of days and the inconvenient thought of possible jail time to calm me down from what could've been a total melt down (you'll pardon the pun). Upon my return from a business trip I was informed that a veery close family member decided in my absence to take it upon themselves to use my vehicle to "double the charge rate" of their cars charging system by adding a set of cables from my car to theirs. That insanity in and of itself is grounds for drawing them in quarters, however If that wasn’t enough they inverted the cables!
As a result I now find that my running lights and fog lights remain on when the ignition is turned off, and I cannot control them nor my headlamps (remain on when ignition is on) from the main light switch. I also noticed that both my spoiler control button and PCM button are not lit and no longer operate, so as you can see I need help.
Needless to say this would be a field day for any dealerships service dept to utilize this at ensuring a strong 3rd quarter profit. In an attempt to sort this out myself I am seeking anyone who may have a set of wiring diagrams for a Cayman S. Any advice or help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
I would check all the fusses, and then disconnect the battery and then reconnect it after a couple of minutes, then if all else fails go to the dealer they may need to get the computers to talk to each other. And then a nice drive to the middle of the Everglades.

Yup - try this first... in fact, keep the battery disconnected for about 5 minutes, so the system has a good long time to re-set. If that fails, then a trip to the dealer is in order...

I did in fact disconnect the battery for 30min and reconnected it with no change. I subsequently pulled out my trusty Fluke tester and checked all fuses and relays which could be obviously found all of which checked out ok.
At this point I require the cars wiring diagram/schematic to do a more comprehensive check. My current suspicions are a module of some sort, however finding it is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Because I have an amateur electronics background building audiophile grade components, this process is not to daunting.
I can only imagine your anger. Sounds like a phone call and agreement re. him/her covering the dealer bill is in order.
No need for Everglades. That would be an easy way out for unlucky soul.

2 PM's to the famed Porschelibrarian, One here and the other on Renntech both 5 hours ago. I now hold the official diagrams thanks to Keith (Porschelibrarian), great guy and very well connected. Now the work begins, and hopefully this was not an exercise in futility. I'll keep you posted.
Your car is under warranty right? Take it to the dealer and have them fix it. I would hope that Porsche would have some sort of failsafe circuit or something if such a hook-up were to happen by accident and that your dealer can simply plug the car into their diagnostic equipment and fix it under warranty or for a very minor service charge. While I don't advocate taking your relative out to the woodshed, they should pony up the money if any is required to fix the car.

This happened to me once, the light control module was faulty and replaced under warranty. I agree as well a lot of it might be fixed with new fuses.
Go to the dealer first and get the diagnostics and see what is under warranty. This may save you a lot of time probing. All else fails then use the schematic and your nose to find
burnt components in the different modules.
Good luck from an old electronics engineer.
