Question Brake pedal travel question

I was using Pagid RS19 for the last six months, recently the pads get thin and I replaced it with brand new RS19.

What I noticed is the brake pedal travel more or more as the pad get thinner. In other word, I have to depress the pedal more to archive the same amount of braking force as the pad get thinner.

First, I thought it must be bubbles in the fluid, so I bleed it every 2 track days, no luck. Right after I replaced it with the new pad, the hard, strong pedal feeling is back.

I thought I read it somewhere that our brake system will compensate for the pad thickness so the driver get the same feeling regardless. But in my experience, it is not.

Comment pls?

I suspect you are experiencing increased heat related brake fade as the pad gets thinner, resulting in greater pedal travel for the same braking force. Worn pads alone will not result in greater pedal travel.

Whenever I replace my pads it feels like the amount of pedal travel required before the pedal firms up is reduced. In other words, the pedal feels firm right near the top. When the pads are worn there is more pedal travel before I reach that firm spot. I am referring to the pedal feel with cold brakes. But this doesn't change under track conditions.
