How fast does the oil burn out?

How long do I have to add motor oil to the engine? How fast does it burn engine oil?

I drove 4,000 miles to parade and back and didn't use any appreciable amount of oil. Once your engine is broken in, it should use very little oil.

I've got over 1900 miles and haven't needed to add oil yet. When I check...either the level is at the top or one segment down.

I have 9,000 miles and have yet to have had to add any oil. (I changed my oil at 5,000 miles). I've had what seems to be near zero oil loss.

12,900 miles, changed the oil once at arounf 5K miles, and I have yet to put any oil in the car. I'd say that's a pretty tight motor.

3300 miles not a drop needed yet. I plan on changing my oil at 5000 miles. I have not tracked mycar, but I plan at some point. My guess is it will use someoil when tracked.

I have tracked my car quite a bit, and added .4 litre to top it up about 4 times so far. Its done 7,000 kms. Apparently this is normal consumption as the Cayman uses oil more than most new cars. I also had the oil changed at about 3,000 kms. It was dirty as hell.

I have yet to check my oil. It takes too long! When I'm in the Cayman all I want to do is just go out and drive!

Check the oil when you first start it in the morning, it takes all of about 6 seconds.

Mine went from the top mark to the bottom mark in about 8,000 miles. It took about a quart to bring it back to the top. I changed the oil at 11k.

I also have noticed mine one notch below full and then when checked again the next day full. There seems to be some fluctuation in the measurements, but I don't know why. Maybe its temperature related.

Anyway, I haven't had to add yet either
