BBS RS-GT 18x10" Requires Spacer?

Did a few searches, but found less than I expected. I made a price inquiry at Wheel Enhancement and asked about 18" BBS RS-GTs in 8.5" front and 10" rear. They said I would require a spacer (and longer lug bolts) for the wheels to fit.

I know that several people on the forum run RS-GTs, and I thought they ran 10" for the rear, but I can't find any reference to spacers.

Can anyone tell me if they are running without spacers, or know whether or not spacers are, in fact, required?

Thanks.

I'm sure that's the case if one is required ... but I hope it's not required. If so, I can probably just get the 9.5" rear wheels as these will just be track wheels with a 275 RA1 on them.

Mine are 9.5" rear with no clearance problems, no longer bolts needed, not sure why 10" wheels would need such... plenty of clearance on 9.5" version.

You're going to need to get the wheel offset and "backspacing" from BBS. Not all 10" wheels are created equally. You might indeed need a spacer if offset is too shallow.

Just by way of comparison, I have a set of Forgeline SP-3P wheels on my Cayman S. The back wheels are 19x10. The wheels were built with a 40mm offset and (since they were completely custom) didn't require a spacer.

I think 9.5 would work for me, but I thought people were recommending the 10" rear wheels.

Quick bump on this tread in case there's anyone that knows for sure: can I run the 10" rear wheels without a spacer? I need to place this order so I have track wheels once the car arrives ...

Okay, thanks. Those 9.5s should work for RA1 275s, but I thought 10s would be a better fit.

I just tried to put an 18x10 on my Cayman with a 6mm spacer and this set up would not fit at all. My offset on the wheel was 58 MM.

I am new to the car/tire world so I took the advise of a not-so-knowledgable wheel shop....and now I am having to deal with refund issues and crappy customer service.

Learn from me....do your homework!

Modular Wheels a.k.a Highline Wheels in Miami Florida.

They did the full recommendation and yet the wheels dont fit. Now they are claiming that they only sold me what I ask for...

See this thread for ALL the info.
Anyone familiar with "Modular Performance" wheels?

Ah, so these weren't BBS wheels ... I was asking Wheel Enhancement ... they have a good reputation (or so I understand) about getting stuff like that right.
