BB - I just took a look at that auction, and I hope you're aware that these are not OEM Porsche wheels made in Germany by BBS, they are made in Italy and are finished to look like OEM... you probably know that, but wanted to make sure.

Wheel Enhancement
Nobody gives you more ways to get the look you want:
1. Purchase new Porsche Factory alloys.
2. Purchase like-new used or restored Porsche alloys from us.
3. Have us refinish your Factory alloys. We restore, anodize, polish and chrome plate.
4. Purchase our aftermarket wheels--we offer the very best, including Kinesis, Fikse, BBS, HRE and Champion to name a few.
5. Exchange your straight, true Factory alloys for Factory alloys pre-finished the way you want.
6. Exchange your scratched/curb damaged Factory alloys for new or refinished Factory Alloys.
7. Trade in your straight, true Factory alloys for aftermarket or Factory wheels. http://www.wheelenhancement.com
Hey Brad,
They claimed that the quality and weight are the same as OEM. Do you trust them? Would these be good for tracking? Naybor and I are looking for some 18".
Chaseman - I don't know, and they don't say who actually makes them - just made in Italy... checking their ebay feedback - it's all pretty good, but only mentions the usual "great transaction, fast shipping," etc. nothing about actual quality, really... so, it is taking a chance... you could also e-mail them and ask some questions - who makes them, etc.? If you want real OEM wheels, either buy some take-offs or talk to one of the sponsors. I looked at some of their other wheels for sale, and everything they sell is knock-offs of other people's wheel styles - If you read the listing carefully, its: "blah, blah, style wheels, blah, blah - OEM style finish." Looks like they have knock-offs of every Porsche wheel released recently...
More often than not, you get what you pay for... $1k is a very good price for a set of wheels, but sometimes, if it's too good to be true, then it just might be...
BlueBlast, have you thought about getting those Enkei wheels from tirerack.com. They are very light, never heard anything bad about them....... and those are very reasonably priced.

Really if you are patient you will find a good set of GENUINE take off's for that price. Most wheel trade-in places only give $600-$800 for our 18'' wheels. I know when I get new wheels I will be selling my 18'' rims and don't expect more than $1,000 and I also know other slightly used sets have sold for this price.
Ask them to give you the weight of the wheels front/back. I am willing to bet dollars to doughnuts that they will be heavier. Go with suneet's advise. Furthermore if you try to sell those wheels later they will be worth close to nothing. The Porsche OEM will be worth something.
Thanks for the input & advice you guys. I was thinking about the same thing. The price is very attractive, but I m not going to resting my $75,000+ car on some knock-offs because of price. I am going to contact Wheels Enhancement on Monday to see if they have some take-off available.
Happy Easter to everyone.
The Cayman Wheels mentioned above on E-bay have been sold...............
Someone here needs to own up!!!!!
At least they must write a report when they get them on the quality, delivery etc......... And a follow up after 3 months (they must also track their car unmercilessly to really test out the rims) and also report at 6 months so the rest of us know that it is allright to buy these 'Knock Off' Wheels.....................
