Mpollards Spare Tire Solution

I thought this might be of interest for new ppl but I'm looking to buy one of these.

Reference http://www.caymanclub.net/showpost.p...7&postcount=36

Is this spare tire setup still working for you? Have you ever had to use it and thoughs on where to put the bad tire other than in the passenger seat? stuff in the back hatch and tie down?

Can anybody find the parts that come with option 447 available in other countries?

Cayman spare

That spare is available over here with the foam centre insert, jack, wheel spanner and toolkit. I opted for the 986 Boxster 17" biscuit. I goes into the front fully inflated and is half the price.

That was my spare tire solution too. Picked mine up on eBay. It also fits very nicely in the hatch area held down by 1" rachet tie downs through the fixed storage loops. Yes, the 17" spare clears the CS' brakes.
