Will these Carrera wheels fit my Cayman S?

Sorry for being so newbee, but I just bought my used (8,100 miles) 2006 Lapis Blue Cayman S 18 hours ago. The car came with stock Cayman S 18" wheels. Snow tires and new Porsche wheels are at the top of my list.

These are currently on eBay:

18" Wheels Rims Porsche 911 996 997 Carrera BBS Boxster

They come mounted with Michelin pilot Sport Tires measuring 235/40/18 front and 265/40/18 rear.

I love the way they look. As long as they will fit. The seller says "yes" so I'm looking for a second opinion.

Barry: The tires are OE sizes, so no problem with that part. The wheel-fit experts here (I'm not one) will need to know the widths and offsets of the wheels in order to provide an informed guess. If they are standard 996/997 widths and offsets, the rears are probably 10 or 11" wide, with too much offset to fit properly without adding spacers. The fronts (usually 8.5") may be okay, but still need to know widths and offsets.

I think the wheels I like are 2006 Carrera "Classic III" wheels and are 8 in the front and 10 in the rear, similar to the ones shown as stock 18" on the porscheusa webpage car configurator section.

I believe the size of the stock Cayman S 18 inch wheels are:

9 x 43 x 18 in the rear wearing 265/40/18 tirres.
8 x 57 x 18 in front wearing 235/40/18 tires.

I believe the size of the Carrera Classic 18 inch wheels are:
10 x 58 x 18 in the rear wearing 265/40/18 tires.
8 x 57 x 18 in the front wearing 235/40/18 tires.

So the fronts are a match but the rears are a different width and different offset.

I think the rears will fit with a spacer BUT, if my intent is to use them to switch back and forth from snows to stock and stock to snows, isn't using a spacer impractical?

If I am right about the sizes, which spacers do I need?

Sorry for being so newbie. I haven't dealt with these issues before.

Barry

I've got an education and I've decided to stick with TWO sets of Cayman S 18" wheels, one for winter tires and one for summer tires.

The seller of the 18" Carrera Classic wheels has been a REAL GENTLEMAN and is letting me out of my contract to buy his wheels. Of course, I'll pay his eBay commission charge.

That's good, Barry. I'm not real comfortable about using spacers to make 911 wheels fit. I have two sets of 18" CS wheels too, but one is for track tires. When I decide to leave Super Stock autocross class, I'll get some wider aftermarket forged wheels with proper offsets. Until then, I like the 18" CS wheels a lot.
