question about painted 19' Carrera S wheels

Hello all,
I have a '08 Meteor Gray / Black full leather interior on order.

I ordered it with 19" Carrera S wheels...

However, I'm trying to see how it would look with matching painted wheels.
Anyone have any photos of this color combo? or know a site I can find a photo to see? Otherwise I'm thinking the standard chrome color would be fine.

Thanks

OK, that's going to be probably very hard to find. While seal gray or meteor gray is popular, the Carrera S wheels are going to make that combination hard to find. Then looking for them painted even harder (if it exists at all). I suggest you look through all the seal gray and meteor grey cars. Go here http://www.caymanclub.net/gallery/browseimages.php?c=2 and click on those two colors. You might find some Carrera S wheels.

With a Meteor Gray exterior, matching painted wheels won't really stand out, especially if you don't clean your wheels every other day. In fact, I was at a dealer once looking at a meteor gray with Carrera Sport wheels, and the dealer wasn't sure whether or not the wheels were in matching color.

I can see that point but I think it's also a matter of the wheel style itself. For example, I have the Carrera Sport Wheels on AS that are painted GT silver. Close enough but not exact. I was considering Seal Grey and thought the same wheels in seal grey would look fine but never saw them in person. I'm not sure the point would have been to make them stand out, like a white car with black wheels but rather to blend in monotone. I think I read somewhere this was currently popular in Europe.

BTW, there is a meteor grey car with Carrera Classics on it here in the FAQ http://www.caymanclub.net/faq.php?fa...t#faq_extcolor

I've seen a 997 Meteor Gray with matching wheels and it looks fantastic. Here's a teaser of the colors on a 997. Not the right wheels or the right car but still something. gray/gray

You might also try searching on "meteor" autotrader.com or cars.com.

That car is listed as a 997S and the specs show for a 997. Heh, kind of funny they got the specs wrong.
