Anybody tried Toyo R1R yet?

I'm quite familar with T1R and I like them. The new R1R is intriguing. Any comments?

Nobody tried them I guess... They look very futuristic!

The T1R's are available in the right size, at least in 19" diameter. They are not real racing tires, I think, but how do they compare to the RA1's for example?

I haven't personally tried them, but a BMW CCA driving instructor friend of mine has tried it out on the street and track on his MZ4 Coupe. Basically it's a near-R-compound tire masquerading as a street tire, like the Bridgestone RE-01Rs.
