Question Tyre Grip Product

In the Saturday Charlotte Observer automotive section of the paper they highlighed a product called tyre grip, which the manufacturer claims when applied to your tires increases their grip 300% on slippery surfaces for up to 40-50 miles. Has anyone here used this product and noticed increased grip? Is this snake oil?

If it looks like snake oil, smells like snake oil, and sounds like snake oil..... I wouldn't even bother testing this. Spray on traction, c'mon now, who is their target market? People without education must be.

Dang! I thought it would be to help grip on track. For just a few bucks you can beat Consumers Reports to the punch by testing and reporting results.

There is a liquid sold to bring race slicks back to life. Not a spray-on; more like a paint-on while the tires are off the car. I don't know if that works either.
