newbie question regarding 20" rims on CS

Alright, I did some research through the past threads but couldn't find an answer to my question. I currently drive a bmw 545i with 20" HRE 540R's. The front rim/tire is 20x9.5 with Michelin PS 2's 245/35/20 and the rear rim/tire specs are 20x10.5 with Michelin PS 2's 285/30/20. My concern is whether or not my current rims on my 545i will fit onto a Cayman S? Can anyone tell me if I will have rubbing issues or if they will even fit at all? I know that 20"s will fit onto the Cayman S and that the tire sizes look like they shouldn't be a problem but I don't know if the offsets are correct... and if they're not correct, will spacers solve the problem? It would be really nice if I didn't have to look for new rims and tires. Thanks in advance for the advices.

bolt pattern

Also forgot to mention... I believe that the bolt pattern for my current rims are 5 x 120. Will these fit onto the cayman s? And if it doesn't, will wheel spacers solve the problem as well? Anyone know what the bolt patterns are for the CS? Thanks!

bolt pattern is 5 x 130.

9.5 wide tire in the front may be an issue, also.

bolt pattern

I read on a old thread that wheel spacers can correct for bolt pattern differences. Can anyone confirm this?

Adapters can do this but they push the wheels out obviously. I'm not looking into your specific case but I am guessing that this will not fit. You didn't give us your offsets at all on your current wheels so there is no way we can give you an answer.

You will almost certainly be better off selling your current wheels to a BMW owner and buying wheels for your CS

You really want your wheel bolts to be going into the hub, not just into the spacer... so no, spacers should not fix a pattern problem..

Kor is correct - sell your wheels and buy some for the Porsche... you'll be much better off.

The above members already provided you with the correct answwers but if you have any other questions please let me know.

If you are in the market for something comparable to the HRE try looking into some DP Engineering wheels. They have some very nice styles and we have a great relationship with them. They are all custom made to order and are fully forged for the best in performance and weight.

Here is a nice color combo from them.
