Cool wheels by Rennworx!

Finally I was able to go to Rennworx and meet Bill (the owner) to get more information about the DYMAG wheels, which I really like.
I got all the info and have now to make up my mind. Hmm

Bill also showed me some other really cool wheels he has available right now. He told me that he will paint the 5-spoke wheel in any color and is willing to give me (or other Cayman Club members) a very good deal. Retail is $3,900 plus painting, plus shipping, but he indicated he would do it for under $3k all together! The 3-piece wheel with polished lip comes in different center colors as well. Same price as the 5 spoke wheel!

Well, I am not sure if I would go for the other wheels, since I am so focused on the DYMAGs, but it sure would save me lot of money.

If anyone is interested, Bill can be reached at 310 200 3881, really cool guy, also PCA and POC member and loves our Caymans!
renn_site0706_01

I took some pictures with all the wheels.

RSR 19x8.5 & 19x11

RXX 19x8.5 & 19x10

With a 20” DYMAG! He had no 19" so we used a 20". If, I would go with a 19”...

20 inch wheels look stupid

The Cayman is far too much of a civilized machine for those ridiculous looking and gaudy wheels. The ghetto look should go elsewhere please.:mad

Whoa Nellie! Different strokes for different folks. I am sure not everyone shares your subjective belief about what is civilized.

P.S. I don't see your "civilized" Cayman listed in the Registry

Realx a little, no reason to go mad!
He had no 19" so we used the 20" to get an idea of the look...
I agree, IMHO 19" is the plenty of wheel... but as said, different strokes for different folks.

Btw, welcome to the Cayman Club!

I do like some of the wheel designs, but even the pics of the 19"s look funny to me.......what tire sizes are they using??, talk about rubber bands!

I would also agree with some of the posts (maybe not to the same degree though!), but 20"s on a car of the Caymans size just look plain funny......like some sort of distorted cartoon car. On a Chrysler 300 or Dodge truck great!.....on a Cayman no.

The rims are sitting in front of my wheels without any tire!
They are not installed, they are placed on a wood stance. This means they look bigger as they really are! I took pictures in the best possible angle...

Gotcha!......funny, some of the wheels are centered so well it almost looks like there are tires on them!......no wonder they look so skinny.

20s, even 19s for that matter are a bit excessive but i like the design of the wheels themselves. tell ya wat, lets get you some '97 boxster rotors and calipers and then we hook you up with a set of extra "tasteful and civilized" 16's. maybe some of the telephone dial style that porsche used in the 80s?
Oh, and why is something "ridiculous and gaudy" necessarily representative of the ghetto??

I see those wheels and the word sick comes to mind.

I don't understand why Porsche didn't market the Cayman with these wheels? The could have easily priced that last two examples at $6K extra as options.

First wheel reminds me of the RuF 5-spoke wheel, maybe someone can post a picture to compare.

Second wheel is classic mesh design and always looks good on any car.

Third wheel, not for me but its cool, if you like it more power to you, I always admire someone doing something different!

Little disappointed in people who post with too much hate. More love for cars guys, this board might be about the Cayman but we're all auto enthusiasts and you should have some respect and camaraderie for everyone who loves their car, from the import racer to the muscle car guys.

+1 Just about every form of car fan is interesting. Low riders, trophy trucks, NASCAR, F1, antiques, heck, even the guy with the hopped up Mustang 2! Even the Ferrari and 911 guys are ok!
