Got a possible duhh question here.
I was reading the tech inspection form for my future DE event and it says tread needs to be over 3/32. Ok here is the Q, is this measured at the TWI? Or at max tread depth?

As most know there is like 3 tread depths on these Cont. sport tires.
Btw I have only 5500 miles on them.

Only your local DE tech can answer that for certain. At most DE inspections I experience they don't even measure tread depth; they check the tread depth by eyeball. If it's just above the wear bars (set up 2/32" from the bottom of the tread), they'll ask you to keep an eye on your tread depth. Of course, they'll take another look the next day. My guess is that your tires still have enough tread for a DE, unless you've been having too much fun doing those 5500 miles.

Thanks for the response, I measured it real close Im still 3/32 from the tread wear indicator. I just didnt know how picky they were....shhh I'm green anyhow

3/32 above the wear bar means 5/32 total tread depth. You're good to go. Most R-compound tires come new with only 6/32 tread depth.
