Porsche Logo Tire Size Change Question

I'm in the process of changing my standard 18" wheels & tires for a new set of 19" turbo wheels & tires. My questions are simple, is "re-calibrating" the speedo and odometer as simple as changing the tire size in the computer? If not, what else needs to be done. Second question is related to new TPMS units. Will I need to do anything special to have the sensors recognize the new TPMS units coming with the wheels & tires?

Thanks, in advance, for the advice

The OBC has the ability to let you select 18" or 19" wheels, summer or winter tires and has a procedure to allow the new TPMS to be learned. All directions are covered in your Owner's manual.

Neither the speedo nor the odometer can be "recalibrated." If you stay with stock size tires the tire diameters are about the same for 18" and 19" wheels, the 19" tires have narrower sidewalls to make up for the 1" greater wheel diameter. If you go to an oversize tire, you'll introduce speedo and odo error. Besides, it's illegal to recalibrate the odometer.

The TPMS should be changed as Santa Fe indicated to adjust to the applicable recommended pressures which vary from 18" to 19".

Thanks for the quick responses. It's great to have somewhere to go to ask questions of experts.
