Russ,
Could you add two pieces of info? 1. Weights of the wheels 2. Custom painting options and prices.

Weights very on the wheel however most are with in the following ranges.

18" 26lbs front / 28 lbs rear
19" 28lbs front / 29 lbs rear

We can custom color most any of the wheels for $350.00. Some wheels have more spokes etc. and may increase in cost.

We will powder coat anything for $500.00 / set.

Paint colors are unlimited. Basically anything with a paint code.

Powder is a bit more limited but still a large range of colors but not ideal for color matching to OEM colors.

Have you done a set of 9975-P in black or anthracite before? I think the anthracite on a black Cayman would look sweet. Let me know as I am in the market for a new set of wheels.

We haven't but our buddy who owns APR Tuning did a Matte Black Powder Coat on his 997 Turbo and its looked pretty good. I am not sure if it can be seen in the videos we did for them but check out the Porsche section of the APR website.

The difference is the process mostly. Powdercoating requires that the wheel be media blasted 100% beofr adding the color and baking.

Painting requires only sanding the existing finish or a mild media blast. Finish baking can also be done but is not required.

There are more color options for paint...powder tends to be a bit more durable but surface is easily prone to unrepairable chips and scratching.

If the options between paint and powder is posed we would always opt for the painting.

We did KMAN-S wheels that you can see in the featured articles on the home page of this site. His wheels were done with 2-tone paint.

I like your wheels a lot, very reasonably priced and a great selection of styles and sizes. But are they useable as track wheels? Are there any formal wheel safety certifications that would make me comfortable in putting these wheels on my CS and hitting the track at Road America at 140+ mph. Has anyone used these wheels on the track?
