What to sell my Lobsters for??

Now that I've bought a new set of rims/tires, I need to sell my Lobsters. Has anyone bought or sold them recently? Looking for a value range to sell them for.

They're the 19x9.5 & 19x8 Carrera S wheels with Pilot Sport PS2s (6800 miles). I see the Replicas sell for around $1000 for just the rims. I'm assuming the OEM rims, used, would be $1000-$1500 plus having PS2s with plenty of life...

3 of my rims are a 10 out of 10, one has a 1/2" chip on the edge, no curb rash so I'm not sure how it got there. Not very noticeable.

I'm planning on including some very key things: TPMS & Porsche Center Caps.

No need to reply if you aren't sure of what this setup should sell for. Thanks for any help!

Here's a pic in case you're wondering what the "Lobsters" are, LOL!

In my opinion, the lobster fork wheels are the least desirable 19" option. That being said with TPMS and centers, for a quick sale I'd price them near $2k and if you are willing to hold out longer closer to $2.5k.

I figured around the same price as you're thinking. I put them on ebay for $2300 so we'll see.

As for the look, that's always personal, but my biggest fear of getting new wheels is that I constantly get comments on the lobsters and how great they look. It's by far my favorite look for the 997 and Boxster/Cayman as far as a stock look. In fact I just realized recently that my neighbors Cayman actually is an "S". I thought it was a "base" model because it has te plain 5-spokes.

You are of course correct, everybody has different tastes in wheels. One thing I found surprising was that in pictures I liked but didn't love the stock CS 18's. But in person I really like them and they have a lot more depth and agressiveness that doesn't show up well in pictures. So-seeing wheels in person often envokes a different impression of what you see in pictures. Maybe the lobster forks work better in person than in pics?

Oh, NO question about it. If you haven't seen them in person its nearly impossible to say based on looks. They have a very thick, fat look to them that gives them the agressive look when compared to the other CS or 997 wheels. Of course my favorite is the 997 Turbo wheels which is why I ended up with them. Well, that and the fact that my Lobsters aren't 11" in the rear!

I noticed in your Ebay listing the TPMS and centers aren't mentioned (unless I missed it). Are you selling the wheels with or without these items?

I'll double check your listing. If I missed them, just ignore me.

Ahhh, VERY good point, I am including them. I've just revised the listing and added that info. Last I checked they run $500-$600 for a set of 4 (I checked on this for my truck). Thanks for letting me know!

FWI, I recently purchased from one of our sponsors a 19x8.5 Carrera S (used 9.5+) for $500 w/o tire.

Do tell which sponsor; they're giving them away! I'll buy every set they have at that price and Ebay them LOL! I watched a set of rims just like mine (no tires, no TPMS, no lugs, etc) go on Ebay for $1300 used. It seems the reproductions are selling for $1100 or so which means any used nice condition set would be worth buying at a similar price.
