I agree - they're gorgeous wheels and look a lot like the HRE P40 design.

Looking at them side-by-side, I'm starting to really prefer the VS7 design. The VS8 seems just a little too busy. Not sure I prefer the deeper lip on the new VS7's though...

On a Porsche the VS7 will not look as good as a VS8.

Why do you say that? By the way, those are VS7s on the Cayman in your signature pic. They look pretty good to me.

I'm looking forward to seeing these on real cars. Any chance you'll go back to the less deep lip design on the VS7? The deeper lip on the re-design just looks odd.

How did that happen?
Oh, I think I know what you mean, Carlos. So the VS8 is a 7 spoke wheel, and the VS7 is an 8 spoke wheel. Man, that is just ridiculously confusing.

I'll retract my previous statement. I really prefer the look of the 7 spoke wheel (VS8) over the 8 spoke wheel (VS7). The 8 spoke wheel design just looks too busy.

I really don't like the deeper lip on the 7 spoke wheel. It looks really unnatural and dorky. I hope you'll consider reverting back to the flush lip design.

Those are VS8 on my sig . The redesigned lip looks absolutely astonishing in person. Something you are not able to appreciate on photos.

The VS7 8-Spoke and VS8 7-Spoke was something that just happened

Thanks for confirming Carlos. I guess maybe the deeper lip will look better on a fully finished wheel that didn't just come off the milling machine. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product on some real Caymans and Boxsters.

By the way, I'm sure this is a long shot, but would you wheels accommodate the standard Porsche wheel crests that come with the OEM wheels? It would be an awesome finishing touch to the wheels if they did.

I just spoke to Carlos. The final size has been confirmed to be 19" X 8.5" front, and 19" X 10" rears. I recieved an email from Brian Schmitt stating that the fronts were 19" X 9" but this is not what Carlos said.

The finishes can be selected later. Price is the same $2850. And they are now taking 50% deposits.

Here is VS 7 in sparkling silver

VS 8 in signature silver

I counted at about 5, including Jaica interested in the 18" version. I'm interested as well (making at least 6) but would like to know cost, and final specs and finishing options before making decision.

I back tracked and counted inquiries, mostly for 18"

19"
1. themperor
2.thunderball-titanium
3. RobMason

18"
1. fab944
2. gmorat
3. mookie
4. advantyper
5. first350
6. jaica
7. canIray
8. 987Berto

Not sure how interested 4, 5, and 7 are, but seems the others have expressed strong desire. Seems consensus is around OEMish of not more than 8.5 front and 10 rear with ET to match widths so as not to need spacers, although I would add pushing them out a little bit to give that nice fill look. I think you're doing that on the 19s, but again would like to know details if 18" project comes to fruition.
