That is quite a mystery. To me, this new set of wheels takes them off the table as a variable. So what the heck could be causing that vibration? I think you've looked into every other front end possibility, no? Did you check the wheel bearings.

OK, here is a real long shot, but it would be worth a try because the test would be easy. Could it be possible that the addition of the GT3 vent could be causing air buffeting on the front that could cause a shimmy? Stranger things have happened. I know, that's a real long shot. But if you simply taped the vent over with a couple of layers of masking tape and took it for a ride you could rule that out.
