My old floor jack started leaking oil the other day, seems time to replace it.
I like the alu one that Costco is selling, but the lift is too low for my SUV. Any suggestion is welcome.

Sears for fairly inexpensive, long lasting. But if you want to go lighter and more expensive check out some of the well know motorsports catalogs offerings.
There are several treads: one is here: http://www.caymanclub.net/cayman-cha...or-jacks-jack-
And you can always "lift" the Costco jack by placing a 2 by 8 or two under it.
I have a decent aluminum jack, probably similar to the Costco version you reference. It too doesn't have enough lift for my mid-size SUV, but plenty for the Cayman. For the SUV I put the jack on a couple of decent sized pieces of 2" pressurized & treated lumber,....instant 4" extra lift. Probably not OSHA certified, but if you use relative care and caution you won't have a problem.
As always, I immediately put jack stands underneath and lower the car onto them,....I never go under or work on the car with just a jack as support.

Not easy to find a good "Jack" Here's the Costco version for less than $110 & only 26lbs

...just be sure the jack is low-profile and actually fits underneath your car.

2 letters, AC. AC Floor Jacks are made in Denmark and are considered to be among the best if not the best! Cost approx $425.00 for the DK20 model, but worth every penny IMHO.
If you ever need to you can also go the other way and roll the car on to 2 by 8's and solve that problem as well.
i've had to do that to swap out a wheel for a flat tyre - no fun.

The Costco pic looks to be a dead ringer for the Harbor Freight jack that I bought. Looks to be about the same price, too.
It easily gets under the Croc, but no way it would be tall enough to get my wife's 4 Runner off the ground.
Not that I would want to pay the price for one, but I would love one of those NASCAR "one pump" jacks. Having to use 7 or 8 pumps to get bother wheels of the Croc in the air is such drudgery
I got the AFF200T which slips under the Porsche and lifts my van too. When I got it, I got free shipping which is important since truck freight is not cheap. Not as light as the racing jacks but great for the garage.
