Need Pilot PS2 265-35-19 N1

I got a nail in my tire and I have been trying to get a hold of a Pilot PS2 265-35-19 N1 for my Cayman S. I have tried everywhere and they are on back order. My tire kept leaking so I had it plugged as a temporary fix. It is still leaking air and I need a tire asap.

Suggestions? Does anyone have a slightly used tire they want to sell???

Thanks in advance.

Brick

Thanks Jim but I would like to see if I could get a tire before then. I have my name on the list at my local Porsche dealer and I am told they are first to receive stock. I just don't want to roll on my damaged tire for another 20 or so days.

cheerIO - Thanks for the tip on Bruno Porsche. They had 1 tire but they wanted to charge me $420 plus shipping. That is taking advantage in my opinion.

I do appreciate your help though. Still looking I guess.

Call Mark Smith 281-338-2807 It is discount tire but these guys get me what I need when I need it. Trying to get them to be a sponsor Mark said he would do sizable dicounts on group buys. I thought I saw one on the classified section of items for sale this morning.

This thread highlights the plight of Porsche owners who want to keep their cars shod with N spec PS2's. I don't know who to blame for the problem of inability to obtain these tires. Porsche for having the N spec type of designation, requiring Michelin to produce a special tire for which they are unable to meet production. Or Michelin for not producing enough tires clearly in demand. Is it too difficult to meet N spec requirements? Is there not enough profit in making this tire? Does Michelin object to Porsche's specificitaions, and dragging its heels? What pray tell is the problem here? Its not like they haven't had enough time to respond to the demand.

This tire has been installed on Porsche Caymans now for close to 3 years. There are many here who would like to know why tires cannot be obtained without going on to a forum and pleading for a tire from its members.

I put a plug patch in my tire nearly two months ago. And I informed the dealer that I wanted to have the matter dealt with before a I go driving in the mountains the end of this month. They are still not in stock.

They have told me that I can switch to Potenzas though ...

I have a complete set of spare tires for my 18" CS. I also have a 5th tire for the rear if some one has a need. Its used but has about 6/32" tread depth left.

Well said RobMason. Anyone have an answer?
