Trade 19" Carrera Classic for Carrera Sport Design?
I'm not sure if this would interest anyone but the car I am picking up next weekend has 19" Carrera Classic wheels but I really like the 19" Sport Designs better. Is anyone interested in a trade? I live in Northern California.
If not, how much are the Carrera Classics worth? They don't have any curb rash on them.
If you just bought this car new you could request that the dealer swap them out for the wheels you want. If they have a Cayman with it on the lot you could be in luck. Those two sets are equal value.
You may find a dealer balking at a swap. The cars specs that is on the printout and on the certificate you get from Porsche later on, specifies the type of wheels the car comes with. I don't think a dealer would risk selling a car to a customer with wheels that weren't on the original spec sheet. They will of course sell you an extra set. You would have a better chance setting up a swap with a firm like Wheel Enhancement.
Wheel Enhancement
Nobody gives you more ways to get the look you want:
1. Purchase new Porsche Factory alloys.
2. Purchase like-new used or restored Porsche alloys from us.
3. Have us refinish your Factory alloys. We restore, anodize, polish and chrome plate.
4. Purchase our aftermarket wheels--we offer the very best, including Kinesis, Fikse, BBS, HRE and Champion to name a few.
5. Exchange your straight, true Factory alloys for Factory alloys pre-finished the way you want.
6. Exchange your scratched/curb damaged Factory alloys for new or refinished Factory Alloys.
7. Trade in your straight, true Factory alloys for aftermarket or Factory wheels. http://www.wheelenhancement.com

My dealer did a swap and we both needs to sign the dealer spec sheet and date it.
