TPMS / TPC disable?

hey all, I searched in the forums and I assume that the answer from 2006 still stands, but I recently bought a preowned 07 base Cayman, that came with aftermarket 19s and no sensors for the TPMS. So every day I am greeted with the TPMS sensor warning and then the red exclamation point that is jusssst enough to bug me. At any rate, I assume their has been no workaround, but has anyone found a way to disable it?
If not, is there any way for me to figure out what sensor would work with the wheels and find a local guy to install? My dealer dropped an offhand $800 quote at me which I kinda balked at. Thanks much in advance, sorry for the noob question.

Your dealer didn't give you a correct estimate. Many tire shops can fit aftermarket wheels with aftermarket sensors that will work with your Cayman for much less that $800. Best bet would be to contact our sponsor Tire Rack and get them to help work out what is best for whichever wheel you have.

Jim at Tirerack has OEM sensors for $65 each. He set me up with the Orange aftermarket system, tells tire pressure and temperature for a good price of $200. I am very pleased with the results.
