Road Debris Eats Tires

Driving on the interstate, 10:30 at night, when a semi barrels down the on-ramp and forces me over into the center lane. As I changed lanes, I glanced over to ensure we were no longer on a collision course. That's when I hit something on the road. I did not see what it was, but it gave me two flat tires... just like that! Long story short: The dealer discovered the 2 wheels were bent as well.

Two wheels + four tires + 1 full alignment = 7 restless nights. Ouch.

As I was driving home one night last week, I passed a 20ft extension ladder ... in the middle of the highway. Luckily, it was pretty much lined up with the lane dividing line, but man, what a mess that coulda made!

Earlier this year, on the highway, in traffic a woodchuck ran into the road and I had no place to go. He didn't make it and gave me a dimple in my chin. : P

Wow that sucks but at least the car itself was not damaged. I hate paintwork.

I was driving on a rural divided 4 lane, about to pass a pickup truck with a ladder about 100 ft from his rear bumper, the ladder took off coming right at me. I went for the ditch (better that then have the ladder come through the windshield), but the rope on the ladder got caught in the tailgate and stopped the ladder from coming at me any futher. Just dragged it on the ground. Close but ... too close. People who don't secure things properly makes me nuts!!!
