Big brake upgrade..

Two things transpired today:

1. After 3 track days my pagid pads are worn to a crisp. I must confess that they were fantastic stoppers although even Parr were surprised I had worn them out so quickly....along with my pilot sport cups.

2. My Brembo 'big brake kit' arrived - 380mm front discs with 6 pot calipers engineered specifically for the cayman. However...transpires that they are too biG for 18' wheels. Hence, no brake upgrade for me Im afraid. Might just save up for that GT3...

TT

I too am surprised at your pad wear.
Which Pagid pads are you using?
How about rotor wear?

I seem to remember that they were blue (RS 4-2 or 4-2-1), when I saw them at Silverstone.

I fitted 4-2-1 to my rear brakes last year, but got through them just as quickly as OEM. Now I run with Pagid RS29 front and OEM pads rear. The RS29 last much longer, but squeal really loudly if you use them for normal driving. The RS29 also don't have such a nice initial bite as OEM pads, so fine for track but not so good for road.

No news - I've just emailed the dealer
It will be MY08, so I guess the earliest is September....

One thing is certain, I will be buying a second set of wheels for it. Just spent too long this morning trying to get the brake dust off my Cayman wheels!
